Patient Testimonials
"Had my first cataract surgery today, and although it has only been nine hours I can tell a huge difference. Doctor Sutton and his staff are truly exceptional. Professional, polite and talk you through it step by step. In a world of disappearing customer service, Doctor Sutton and his staff are truly first class. Thank you and yes I absolutely recommend him."

"I have had a wonderful experience using Mississippi Eye Associates for my needs. Dr. Peterson and staff took the time to explain everything and they made choosing my new glasses easier than any other eye clinic I’ve been too. Didn’t have it wait but 20 minutes before being called back. So glad I found them!"

"Great place Dr. Sutton is down to earth, informative and great to talk to. No to mention an excellent surgeon. Highly recommend. After seeing 2 other eye drs. That couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my eye. Dr. Sutton had it figured out in 5 min. And had me in surgery in a couple weeks. Friendly staff."

What should I expect on the day of my surgery? On your cataract surgery day, you will start off in the pre-op holding area. You will meet your nurse, who will review your procedure and begin to get you ready. Drops to dilate the surgical eye will be instilled, and an IV will be started. You will have a short interview with the anesthesiologist. The process usually takes about forty-five minutes to an hour. When we move you to the operating room, you are on a comfortable rolling stretcher with a warm blanket. At this point, you will go to sleep for about fifteen minutes. During the operation, you will not see, feel, smell, or taste anything. Twenty minutes later, you are awake in the recovery room with a small cotton patch on the operated eye to protect it and a warm blanket. After about 45 minutes you can go home. The whole process takes about three hours or half of the morning from start to finish!
